How much pocket money will students need?

At Spark, we have no rules about how much pocket money student bring with them. The group will have time to buy souvenirs and other trinkets on their excursions but especially for full board programmes, with all meals and drinks provided for, there won't be much for students to need to buy.

In the case of half board, we recommend students bring around €10 per day they'll need to buy their own lunch. They will be able to get lunch for less, but from our experience they often spend a bit more than needed once they're in the supermarket, or in case they want to eat lunch at a restaurant.

If they are staying with homestay families, they may want to have extra money to do activities with them or buy 'thank you' presents (again, no rule to have to do this either!)

In general we recommend no more than €30 - €50 for primary school ages and €75 - €100 for secondary school ages for full board programmes.
