What are these check ins and check outs?

Check ins at the Spark residence are not like normal check ins at a hotel. Upon your arrival at Spark, a member of staff will do your check in. The main purpose for doing these check ins are:

  • To give you information about Spark, El Puerto, your classes, etc
  • To show you around Spark, show you your room and the building in general.
  • To give you your welcome pack and hand over your keys to your room. (This would also be the moment for you to hand over the 50€ deposit.)
  • This would also be the time for you to ask any questions that you might have about Spark in general, El Puerto or your Spanish classes.

Check outs are done at the end of your stay in Spark, usually about 10 or 20 minutes before you leave. We do these to:

  • Check the state of your room after you have packed up, you should leave your room as you found it.
  • Make sure your fridge shelf is empty to see if there is any food left in it, this is so we don’t end up with unused food in our fridges causing bad smells.
  • Hand back your room keys.
  • Give you back your 50€ deposit.
  • Collect your feedback form.
